Greetings Earthlings!
I have been enjoying your blogs. It was interesting to read the postings about your progress in school. Some people are pleased with their grades and seem to be developing good study habits. Others in the group realize that they should be doing better. That's a pretty smart thing to recognize! If those kids show up after school for extra help with me, Mr. Wolfson, and their other teachers, their grades will probably improve. Remember, folks, the term ends on March 20.
Today's blog is about the books you are reading. Right now my friends and I are reading a book called The Shack by Wm. Paul Young. It's clearly fiction because it is about a man who spends a weekend at a small house in the forest, and he spends it with God. So far I have learned that there's a major conflict between this man, Mac, and God. The man's ten year old daughter disappeared, and Mac blames God for not helping him find her. I predict that there will be a lot of surprises in this book! I am enjoying it so far, and I am looking forward to talking about it when I have book group.

The book I'm reading is The Tale of Despereanx. It is the best book I have ever read in my entire LIFE!!!I'm reading this book because of a competition called Battle of The Books!It is when Mrs.De Ojeda and Mrs.Regan's class have to read 10 books in 5 weeks!!!!I'm so excited!!Anyway,Despereanx is a very good book.It's about a French little mouse that falls in love with a human princess named Pea,but in her kingdom,mice are illegal.So he is trying to be with princess Pea at all times with out letting himself be seen.Well I just want to say that you should read this book.You'll never want to put it down after you begin.

ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading is Bud,Not Buddy and I like it, It's a good book and It's about a boy name Bud and he has his own suitcase. I think It's realistic fiction and We are doing the battle of the books,we are going to read 10 books. Buds mother was going to go and kill her father and if you start this book you don't want to put the book down. When Bud and his friend were down stairs they saw a vampire bat and they were scared, Bud picked up a rake and try to kill the vampire bat.

ReplyDeleteI am also reading a book its called Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. Its about any orphan caled Jeffrey who's parents died at the age of 3 now he is 12 and ran away to a town and meat a girl called Amanda who gave him a book. That is were I am can't wait tell next blog.

The people from underground find the town called Sparks. The people kindly teaches them techniques about almost everything. The book is good so far.

ReplyDeleteWe finally began the Battle of the Books. I am reading a fabulous book titled Abduction. The genre is Mystery or Fiction. The author is Peg Kehret. So far I've enjoyed it! The first time I read the back cover, I fell in love. Just like Mr.Wolfson and you fell in love with the new way Nicky came up with! I heard that Alec already, read the whole entire book Abduction! Well as far as I've read, this book is about a boy named Matt who's in kindergarten. When a man kidnaps Matt, he thinks it's a stranger! But it's really his father. Bonnie which is Matt's sister, gets really worried. Bonnie is obsessed with dogs. She love strays. That's why in her car, she has dog treats. She doesn't even care in how much trouble or danger she'll be in! The main characters (so far) are Denny, Bonnie and Matt. Well there's not enough time. So, I hope you read the book Abduction. But if you did that's great. I hope my team wins the Battle of the Books!

ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading is Dovey Coe by Frances O'Roark Dowell it is a really good book so far I am on page 101 its really good! the book is about a girl named Dovey who has a beautiful 16 years old sister and a deaf 13 years old brother Dovey is 12 she has two dogs well there for her brother. There is a 17 years old boy who is wealthy rich and he wants to marry her sister Caroline but she is not interested in him unlike the other girls in town who drowl over him. Dovey is a om boy her mom is trying to get her to act like a girl but her heart is set on helping her dad fix things. She looks after her brother constintly her mother tells her, her brother can take care of himself. Her family finally has enough money to send her sister to college. At her go away party Parnell the pain in the neck rich boy proposes to her sister and she says no! thats all i got to.

ReplyDeleteMy reading book is The Tale of Despereaux.It's by Kate DiCamillo.It's a good book because it's talk about a mouse called Despereaux,he is the last mouse of his family,his name means sadness and disappointment. One day,he was going to the library with his sister Merlot.Merlot said the glue and paper is very crunchy and tasty.But,Despereaux read the phrase"Once upon a time".Suddenly he heard the music from Princess Pea's bedroom,and he went to Princess Pea's bedroom. He saw King Philip was singing with guitar to Princess Pea.Princess pea noticed Despereaux,but the king said it's a bug because he was too little.The mouse council know Despereaux went to princess's room and sat on king's feet.The mouse council sent Despereaux to the dungeon.In the dungeon, there's a huge jailer inside and Despereaux told him a story.Finally he makes the jailer happy.This the 1/4 part of the story and I'm not done.This book is my favorite book.I like it.

The warden is making the people in orange find anything that they diged up. Later on he runs away from camp. Then in the end his layer comes and takes him out of jail and becomes rich by finding truesur

The last book I read is called Ginnus World Records I've been reading that book for over three months. I finally finshed it last month. there are lots cool records in there. The worlds fatest living man lost 600lbs in 2 years. There is a guy who got hit by a car 8 times and lived.
